Can I choose a family?
Yes. There are many families eager to adopt infants and children. Adoption Alliance strives to maintain a diverse pool of waiting families. The adoptive family may or may not have a religious affiliation. We work with families of all races and ethnicities. In order to be approved for adoption by Adoption Alliance, a family must:
- File a detailed application
- Have a thorough family assessment approval by a placement supervisor
- Have a medical evaluation
- Have references checked
- Have a fingerprint and name check done through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Central Child Abuse Registry
- Work closely with the adoption caseworker to prepare them for adoption and parenting
- Attend training workshops on adoption and parenting issues

What financial assistance is available?
If you do not have health insurance, we will help you apply for Medicaid. If you need assistance with pregnancy-related expenses such as food, maternity clothing, and/or prenatal vitamins, some financial assistance may be available. Your counselor will help you look at your needs and make a plan to meet them during your pregnancy.
